NEW HAIR ROUTINE!

While getting my hair done last week we noticed how much it’s grown since my last chop in late December. I later posted the photo above on my snapchat & instagram stories and I had SO many questions & compliments! I went home to measure it and it is almost 3 inches below my chin (where we cut in Dec.) I was so amazed considering your hair only grows .5 of an inch a month so I’m here today to share my tricks with you!

I’ve completely changed my washing routine since I last shared with you & unfortunately it’s a LOT harder! I have extremely hard water so I’ve started washing with the jugs of 77 cent water from Wal Mart. It’s like seriously the most annoying thing but it has helped preserve my blondes & I can tell a major difference in the feeling of my hair since I’ve stopped washing with hard water! 
I also only shampoo about once a week, EVEN if I workout. I know you’re probably all freaking out but my hair is so textured that I can get away with it, if  it’s a sweaty mess I usually rinse my hair after working out if I’m between washes! Sweat is different than oil & can act like a sea salt spray for your hair! 
I go back & forth between L’anza Healing Strength White Tea Shampoo/L’anza Healing Smooth Glossifying Conditioner and AG Cleansing Cream/AG Moisture Mask. I have probably 20 different products in my shower at any given time but these are definitely my go-to’s.

We all know I hate styling my hair… how ironic. When I do style I always think of how I can style smarter. Ex: Instead of brushing my hair wet, letting it air dry, ripping through it again after its dreaded up & then finishing with the flat iron I always use my wet brush, apply product & blow dry with a brush. Using a brush to blow dry helps smooth the hair so you can reduce or even completely cut out the flat iron. 
I also rely heavily on my silk pillowcase to preserve my styles, I would definitely consider investing in one if you are trying to cut down on your styling!

Anyone that knows me well knows I’m obsessed with all carbs. Fortunately for my hair I’ve changed my diet this year, I’ve started eating healthier & on a more regular schedule & have started drinking TONS of water! I can’t help but think it’s helped speed up my hair growth!
