Post Hawaii depression is kicking in!! I received a lot of questions about our recent trip to Kauai so here is a travel guide to help anyone thinking of visiting & if you aren’t thinking of, you should be!
This was my first time visiting Hawaii & a few of my family members second (we had a party of 23… think the Brady Bunch Hawaii Bound)
The temperature varied anywhere from 70-80 during the day & the food was SO fresh! We stayed for a little over 2 weeks so we had some time to check out the island.

WHERE TO STAY
Kauai Marriott Resort: The Kauai Marriott is SO beautiful! It’s within walking distance of a few shops & restaurants and a 5 minute drive max from the Lihue Airport.
*Kalapaki Beach is located right behind the resort which is where you saw us spending a lot of time! The hotel & pool are so nice and we had massages on the beach from the Alexander Day Spa located inside the hotel.
Hilton Garden Inn Kauai: The Hilton Garden Inn is located in Kapaa, named Kauai’s most charming town, & is close to the *Smith Family Garden Luau & *Lydgate Beach Park!

WHERE TO EAT
Duke’s Kauai: Duke’s is just a short short walk from the Kauai Marriott. They have a barefoot bar which is the home of my pretty little pineapple drink 🙂
Kalapaki Beach Hut: This little beach hut serves breakfast & lunch and has the BEST Acai Bowls I’ve ever had!! Their pancakes are also delicious & you can enjoy your meal on their upstairs eating area that overlooks Kalapaki Beach, Nawiliwili Bay & the Hoary Head Mountains beyond.
Kauai Juice Co: Okay not a restaurant but the Kauai Juice Co. has juice like you’ve never had before! 80% of their ingredients are grown in the Hawaiian Islands which makes their juice SO fresh! They also have Elixers (tastes so bad but so good for you) & some grab & go snacks such as salads & parfaits. They have three locations: Kapaa, Kilauea & Poipu!
Bubba Burgers: An old fashioned Burger Joint with a line out the door & wrapped around the front! We had multiple locals suggest Bubba Burgers to us, I had a Caesar salad but my fam said the burgers are top notch!

WHAT TO DO
Kipu Ranch Adventures: So my family told me this was a casual little UTV tour & forgot to mention we would be covered in mud! It ended up being one of the best things we did! We did the “Ultimate Ranch Tour” which included a 3 hour off road tour through the ranch with views of Kipu Kai & famous movie locations such as Jurassic Park & Indiana Jones.
Smiths Garden Luau: This is the best Luau on the island, it included a Hawaiian dinner & an amazing “Golden People of Hawaii Festival of Dances” show! It is set in a 30 acre botanical garden filled with lush landscapes which was once reserved for Hawaiian Royalty!
Blue Dolphin Charters: We did a Boat Tour of the Na Pali Coast at sunset and it was beyond cool! We had a four hour tour of the coast with dinner & Mai Tais. Of course it was the beginning of Whale Watching Season so we saw multiple whales & tons of dolphins!
Lydgate Beach Park: Lydgate Beach Park actually has an area with a rock barrier to keep waters calm for snorkeling & swimming! It’s also perfect for picnics or just hanging out.
Kalapaki Beach: This was one of our favorite hangouts, so close to the hotel & it’s so so beautiful! Santa actually came into the bay on a boat on Christmas Eve!
Waimea Canyon State Park: The Grand Canyon of the Pacific! We did like 1/16 of the park on Christmas Day, there’s so many breathtaking sights!

There was so much more to do/see but we just couldn’t squeeze anything else into our jam packed days! If you’ve been to Kauai & have any recommendations/suggestions please let all of us know in the comments!
Looks amazing!! ❤️
