Hate: I always feel like I’m throwing away half the tube.
I’ve tried to think of countless solutions to this issue because I honestly think I could go through 1 tube on a wedding party. At $29 a tube that’s not cool.
So one day while doing my own makeup, my tube has been pushing empty for a week & of course I will buy 10 for my kit before I buy 1 for myself, I thought to myself “OK seriously Google HAS to know something about this.” I googled something like “NARS concealer using the whole tube” and I FINALLY found the solution on Tereeses.com!
This tip was TOO GOOD not to share, especially because I’m constantly getting questions about the products I use. Basically – there’s a small little ring on the end of the tube called a stopper that prevents excess product from coming out. So when you’re running low & you know that the tube is still half full, you remove the stopper.. WHAT, IT’S THAT EASY? Yeah, I was annoyed I didn’t google it earlier.
Tereeses.com said they normally remove the stopper with a kitchen knife so that’s exactly what I tried. The stopper popped right off and my concealer was like brand new again. I thought if this works with the NARS concealer tubes, it should work with liquid lipsticks too, right??
The answer is YES!
Bottom: NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer tube with stopper removed.
Bottom: NYX Lip Lingerie with stopper removed.
Right Swatch: “Empty” NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer tube with stopper removed.
SO THERE YOU HAVE IT!! The easiest solution EVER to save you from wasting product!
