As some of you may know I recently had my eyebrows microbladed & today I’m sharing everything you need to know about it!

I had my brows done at MicrOTR in Cincinnati, OH which is about 2 hours from where I live. They also have a location in Dayton, OH called Dayton Microblading which is closer to me but Erica was only available in Cincinnati for the day I booked! I have followed them on instagram for so long & a few months ago I finally decided to make my appointment!

Their studio is SO cute & Erica was AWESOME! I had so many questions and was a little nervous, she made the entire process so easy & relatively quick!

When I arrived at my appointment I filled out some paperwork before we discussed what I was wanting/her recommendations for me.
My brows were not necessarily thin to begin with but they were a little sparse by my arch & towards the ends which is what I was hoping to correct!
I also wanted a little bit of shading done in addition to the microblading & wanted to keep the “fluff” I have in the front.  My left side was naturally higher so we decided to raise my right side a tiny bit for a more symmetrical look.
Erica used a pencil (I believe.. my eyes were shut haha) to give me an idea of what my brows would look like before we started. We went with what is called a Hybrid Brow, a mix of manual microblading & machine work.

She applied the topical numbing & we waited about 20 minutes. I was SOOO scared it was going to hurt & before I knew it the microblading was done & we were onto the shading. The shading was a little uncomfortable because it was more towards my brow bone but it was a very slight discomfort compared to what I was expecting! The Microblading itself only took around an hour/hour and a half.

We finished, took after photos & I scheduled my 8 week touch up.
On the drive home my brows (and head) were starting to HURT.
No caffeine + freshly microbladed brows and I was down for the count!
After about 3 hours my brows had calmed down & I was back to my normal self.

It has now been almost a week since I’ve had them done and they’re starting to scab up a little but nothing super crazy like I was expecting! I was a little nervous that I wouldn’t be able to go out in public without someone staring but it’s honestly not noticeable unless you’re looking up sooo close in the mirror.

I think the biggest thing with Microblading is the aftercare, this stuff is serrrrious! I can’t get my brows wet until they’re done peeling (about 2 weeks) and no makeup on your brows + no sweating.
It is a little inconvenient when trying to wash your face but I can already tell it’s going to be sooo worth it when they’re healed &  after my touch up! I can’t believe how good they look with no makeup and how much more symmetrical they are! If you’re thinking about getting your brows done I highly highly recommend Dayton Microblading!
